Leadership Team

Chris emigrated from the UK in 2007 as a physiotherapist and worked in many of Sydney’s private and public hospitals before venturing out to set up his private practice servicing Campbelltown and Nowra. During this time he worked closely with several rehabilitation physicians and orthopaedic surgeons to develop a ‘Rehab to Home’ service and was one of the first NDIS providers in the Bowral and Campbelltown regions.

Chris joined Healthe Care with the initial objective of implementing ‘Rehab to Home’ within the Healthe Care Community. He then transitioned into the role of CEO of Mackay Private Hospital. Having driven many initiatives including the introduction of mental health to Mackay, development of NDIS programs at several of our rehabilitation sites and management of several key public hospital contracts, Chris took up his position of CEO at Shellharbour Private Hospital in July, 2019.

In 2021, Chris transitioned to the role of Regional CEO - Illawarra & South Coast NSW, overseeing both Shellharbour Private Hospital and Wollongong Day Surgery.

Lenin Philip is the Deputy CEO and Director of Clinical Services at Wollongong Day Surgery. Since joining Healthe Care in 2020, he has played a key leadership role in driving clinical excellence, operational performance, and strategic growth across the organization.

With extensive experience in perioperative services, operating theatre management, and healthcare leadership, Lenin has worked within multiple private hospitals across Australia and overseas. This diverse experience has provided him with a broad understanding of healthcare systems, clinical governance, workforce development, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

In his current role, Lenin oversees the clinical, operational, and strategic functions of Wollongong Day Surgery, working closely with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing teams, and support services to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and a positive experience for both patients and staff. He is passionate about fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

Lenin is committed to building high-performing teams and delivering safe, patient-centered care while supporting the ongoing growth and success of Wollongong Day Surgery and the broader Healthe Care network.

Kyle completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines in 2010. He began his nursing career across a variety of acute care settings, including medical-surgical nursing, operating theatres, intensive care, and the emergency department, before specialising in oncology as a chemotherapy treatment nurse. During his time in oncology, he also participated in multiple oncology clinical trials as a Study Coordinator, supporting the delivery of innovative cancer treatments while ensuring high standards of patient care and research compliance.

In 2017, Kyle relocated to Australia and completed his nursing registration through the Bridging Program, undertaking his clinical placement at Shellharbour Private Hospital. Following registration, he joined the hospital as a Registered Nurse and has since progressed through roles including Clinical Nurse Specialist, Ward Nurse Unit Manager and now Clinical Nurse Educator.

As Clinical Nurse Educator, Kyle is passionate about fostering a positive learning culture by empowering nurses and students to develop their knowledge, confidence and clinical skills. He is committed to supporting staff to reach their full potential through education, mentorship, and evidence-based practice, ultimately enhancing patient care and professional growth across the organisation.

Jo has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. Originally trained in Sydney, her career has taken her across Australia and overseas, including roles in the United Kingdom and Queensland. Her extensive experience spans both clinical practice and senior leadership and management positions.

Since relocating to the Illawarra in 2008, Jo has worked primarily within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, developing a strong reputation for her commitment to quality, safety and excellence in healthcare. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes through robust clinical governance, continuous quality improvement, and fostering engaged, high-performing teams.

In June 2026, Jo joined Shellharbour Private Hospital and Wollongong Day Surgery as Regional Quality and Risk Manager. In this role, she is responsible for leading quality, risk and accreditation programs, ensuring compliance with national standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence in patient care across both facilities.

Jo is dedicated to creating healthcare environments where patients receive safe, high-quality care and staff are empowered to contribute to continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Corinne started her career within the Administration Team at Lawrence Hargrave Private Hospital, Thirroul back in 1995. Corinne spent 27 years working in various positions and having experience in many areas of Administration including Reception, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Medical Records, Payroll, Document Control, Return to Work Coordination, Human Resources, Day Program Coordination, Assistant to the Finance Manager and Office Manager.

Corinne’s qualifications include Certificate in Human Resource Management, Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management), Diploma of Human Resources Management and Return to Work Coordination.

Corinne joined Healthe Care in April 2022 at Wollongong Day Surgery leading the Administration Team. Corinne is passionate about supporting her team, providing education and assistance whenever needed and providing a safe and positive workplace for all staff and patients.

Outside of the workplace she is a wife and a Mum to her 2 children.

Starting her sterilising career in 2009 as a body piercer in Sydney, Tenniele built a foundation in precision, hygiene, and patient care long before stepping into the hospital world. In 2016, she transferred those skills into the clinical setting at Dubbo Base Hospital, where she officially began her journey in CSSD.

From there, she expanded her expertise in a high‑pressure, 15‑theatre hospital covering all major specialties — including neurology and cutting‑edge robotic surgery — gaining deep experience across complex surgical workflows and instrument management.

In 2020, Tenniele joined Healthecare, taking on the role of Loans Coordinator at Shellharbour Private Hospital before progressing to Sterilising Services Manager at Wollongong Day Surgery. Today, she brings together years of hands‑on technical skill, leadership, and a genuine commitment to safe patient care, shaping high‑quality sterilising services with confidence and heart.
