Dr Rajiv Shah is a cataract surgeon and glaucoma subspecialist who trained at the Sydney Eye Hospital and undertook fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. His obtained his medical degree at the University of Sydney after his schooling in Figtree. His general medical training was at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. 

He has extensive experience in all aspects of small incision cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery including MIGS procedures. He performs laser treatments for glaucoma and has a special interest in angle closure glaucoma. He is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Glaucoma Society.

He has been a VMO at St Vincents and Bankstown Hospital for the past 15 years and runs glaucoma clinics and operating sessions at both hospitals. He is actively involved in teaching of ophthalmology registrars at both hospitals.  He practices in Figtree at Illawarra Ophthalmology and has been operating at Wollongong Day Surgery for the past 16 years. He also consults and operates in Sydney at Eastwood, Darlinghurst and Bankstown. 

He is also a very keen golfer and enjoys traveling with his growing family.
