Dr Yasser Tariq is an ophthalmologist with expertise in treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and cataract. He studied science and medicine at the University of New South Wales. He trained in ophthalmology at Sydney Eye Hospital and in medical retina at Westmead Hospital. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2013 for his investigation into variation of retinal parameters measured by optical coherence tomography. He is currently involved in clinical trials investigating treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion.
